Proud To Be Matrix
For the second half of the year, Matrix goes back to its roots. A professional haircare & colour brand that signifies diversity, inclusion, quality, and value for money.
So, what does it mean to use and stock Matrix? It means that salons, retailers, hairdressers & consumers are proud to be a part of the Matrix community that is supporting diversity & inclusion. Therefore, we should, and are all proud to be Matrix!
This campaign is about celebrating all humans, all hair types with accessible hair care and colour that let people be their true authentic selves.
To kick it off, we asked three of our wonderful artistic design team members, Kobi Bokshish (@kobibokshish), Sam James (@samij_hair) and Adam Ciaccia (@adamciaccia) a number of questions on why they’re Proud to be Matrix (PTBM) and what inspires their artistry.
WHAT IS YOUR HOLY GRAIL MATRIX PRODUCT, AND WHY?
Sam: Miracle creator - a light weight mist so great for all hair types but I know the hair is well nourished and protected when using this before styling. It makes a noticeable difference for clients when styling their hair from sealing the cuticle more to shine when finished.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR ARTISTRY?
Kobi: Chameleon! I’m a chameleon – through my creative side, my salon, education, then the shows and photoshoots – I definitely have to wear all hats!
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GET INTO HAIRDRESSING?
Adam: I was inspired to get into hairdressing because of the relationships we build with our clients during your career. The ability to express myself through my craft outside of salon life and share it with the world during the rise of the digital environment
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY SINCE BECOMING A MATRIX ARTIST?
Adam: My most memorable moment would definitely have to be doing my first playground tour around Australia, I learned a lot about myself and even more from the Matrix people I had around me. Presenting in front of an audience was once the most daunting thing I can do, now it’s one of my favourite aspects of being with Matrix, to share and inspire on stage.
WHAT MAKES YOU PROUD TO BE MATRIX?
Kobi: Working with a brand that is inclusive of everyone – everyone is welcome: all hair types, all humans – and Matrix really allows ME to be ME!
Sam: Being a part of such a diverse, creative, passionate team that continue to push each other up, makes me proud to be Matrix. This all whilst representing such an innovative brand that is consistently inclusive with all that it does.
We’ll be running PTBM through the rest of the year, as we want to raise awareness of Matrix’s core values and its unique point of difference in the market, ultimately amplifying our messaging about why the industry should be proud to be associated with Matrix. Through this campaign, we want to celebrate key values that Matrix is known for. In August, we’ve focused on ‘education, and helping everyone succeed’, through boosting educational video content and sending out Proud to be Matrix Visibility Kits. Over the next 5 months we’ll be covering topics from technology, inclusion and keeping things uncomplicated and simple. To round out the year, in December, we will be celebrating being part of the Matrix family.

Dani Stevens (@danistevens), entrepreneur, influencer, proage model, evangelist of positivity and a true natural born motivator.
Rhiannon Tracey (@rhiannontraceymywheellife), motivational speaker, life coach and founder of The Next Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Centre.
We are so excited for our future with these wonderful new additions to the Matrix team, and while they are all such unique and impressive individuals, they all have two things in common… they are proud to be themselves and they all have GREAT HAIR!
